A website is generally defined as the collection of information on a particular topic or subject.
A website is generally described as a collection of web pages, a website can be thought of as a book wherein each page of the book denotes a web page.

There are a lot of aspects that have to be taken into consideration while designing web sites. Due to the rapid development of the internet in recent times many new concepts and aspects emerge that need to be taken into consideration. Depending on the sites that are available on the internet they are classified as commercial and non commercial websites. The goals for each of these sites vary depending on the desired exposure and response. But when typical commercial websites come under the scanner, the basic aspects to be seen are the content, the usability, the appearance and the visibility.

If you are designing a website for your hotel going by the name ‘Hotel Munich’ the content presented in your site should pertain to your hotel only. Your website should have ample number of pictures and text that describe your hotel in the best possible way. Your first page should ideally be a splash page which includes the welcome message, language selections, and a disclaimer. The term "disclaimer" usually implies situations that involve some level of uncertainty, waiver, or risk.

After you create your website the webpage’s within it are connected by means of hyperlinks. The content within the website should be evaluated and organized in such a way that the purpose of the site is well defined. While compiling the content it is a good idea to first to test the content and purpose on a focus group and the unnecessary aspects should be done away with. The content in your site should be properly categorized according to user needs. You can use specialized web designing tool like Dreamweaver, CSS etc to design your sit to your whims and fancies. As you are designing a website for a hotel the content should include topics like reservations of rooms, charges, amenities offered, and tours conducted, in- ternary details and so forth. A clearly defined purpose will help the rest of the planning process as the content of the site is developed. Setting aside short and long term goals will help make the purpose clear and plan for the future when expansion, modification or improvement will take place.

Care should be taken to make the site user friendly by making the interface and navigation simple and reliable. The graphics and text should follow the same tone throughout the site. The tone or the style used should be professional, appealing and relevant also the site must be easy to find via all major search engines and advertisement media. Thus keeping the above mentioned aspects in mind and employing a good web designer who can guide you on the fine intricacies while developing your site, you can be sure of welcoming new guests to your hotel during the next holiday season.
